No person — or company — is an island. We support charitable endeavours for society, including financial and in-kind support for childcare and early education centres, senior living facilities, and training schemes for university students.
Our company is managed with the ecosystem we share in mind. Both our products and our internal operations seek to limit the release of greenhouse gasses, support recycling, lighten the environmental footprint, and more.
We’ve found a variety of ways to give back to the community and support initiatives bringing positive change.
We are directly engaged in bringing educational opportunities to students interested in careers in the real estate. Our staff regularly conducts training workshops and seminars at universities and provides educational licenses of our software for students to work with. We also provide hands-on experience and up-to-date knowledge to students seeking to develop their professional skills. This includes working with students from various organizations focusing on the real estate industry.
As a tech company, we go through a lot of devices. Oftentimes we find even fairly new equipment needs to be upgraded. One solution to this churn that we recently instituted was donating laptops to the computer labs of local Care and Educational Centre. Maybe a few of our future coders will start their careers on them.
We also support charitable organizations working with people in need, including childcare, senior citizen, and educational centres. Many of our staff have donated to the children of a local Family Child Care Home in Lower Silesia, sharing items with children in need
Velis actively supports maintaining healthy lifestyle choices for its employees, from supporting bike-to-work with incentives, encouraging healthy diets, following stringent worker safety protocols, and even regular intramural volleyball.
Over the years members of our team have brought forward causes and initiatives that they thought deserved Velis’s support. Velis Charity Competition, which has led to our backing initiatives like helping animals from one of the shelters or setting-up a table football (foosball) charity tournament in our office building.
